terracotta bird skulls

So I throw a little hollow teardrop shape on

the wheel and punch some holes and it becomes a bird skull!

coyote skull

so when i got this there was still alot of coyote attached to the skull. i put it in a bucket with creek water so there would be lots of bugs to hang  out with the head. fast foreward a few months and i dumped it out and rinsed it and am boiling it outside in the fire pit. once its all nice and clean and i have time i will whiten it up with hydrogen peroxide. its really nice. all the teeth are intact. the jaw split in two but its got all the teeth also.

an owl head im gunna attempt to cast in bronze. starting to grind down my indys, moving the handle back on a hand plane. big snow skate deck. little clay sculpture.

so many cuts went into this. replaced the 2x6 that gets the majority of the snowmelt drops with an aluminum grate. hopefully will make for a less icy back deck this winter. iv had some slams on that thing. Guard Dog!

Oar lock test and roadkill

sewed some oar sleeves out of old airbag rubber, put a spring/hitchpin deal together so they cant fall out, and tested them out in tahoe before the rain came in. on the way home i grabbed this monster grey squirrel and skinned it and cooked it for the dogs.

work trip turned surf trip

went to kauai for a month to do some work but that didnt happen. i surfed a bunch, made some handplanes, hiked a little, learned to wakeskate, got a tan, got stung by a jellyfish, stuff like that.
