and getting a sunburn at the same time! my pieces are hanging upside down in the drum while a natural gas burner melts out the wax into a water basin at the bottom. its just a baby sitting job that involves fire. after this they go into the kiln to burn out any residue and i will patch up the vent holes and any possible cracks after that. then its time to pour and i can finally get to deal with metal finishing.
